About this capture
Georgetown College
Americas Initiative
The Georgetown College Americas Initiative aims to bring innovative perspectives to understanding the United States and the diversity within its orders, to engaging the diverse peoples, nations, and communities across the Americas, and to exploring the accelerating movement of peoples and visions across borders—and across the hemisphere.
We promote faculty scholarship and stimulate conversations among disciplines, and across borders. We organize events to engage colleagues, students, and capital area communities in discussing the challenges of the integration of the Americas—economically, politically, culturally, and environmentally.
Dr. John Tutino, Professor and Chair of History, appointed in the College and in the School of Foreign Service, coordinates the Initiative.
Upcoming events include "Migration, Labor, and the Family in Diasporic North America: Literary and Cultural Perspectives, " which will be at Georgetown on November 5.  For more information about this conference please click here.
