Thanks to one seriously cool Dad back in 1986, and the thoughtfulness of his now grown son, we can all have a look at an absolutely amazing mall promotion put on by Mattel way back in 1986 to promote their toy-shelf-ruling Masters of the Universe line.

The video (seen here) shows what it was like back in the heyday of massive action figure lines, when toys were all about excitement and play, and companies cared about pumping up their fans with stunning displays like this one. Trust me, click on the link. It's too cool for words.

I spotted this video link last night on the 4chan /toy/ boards (don't go there, it's evil), and saw this morning that the video is spreading like wildfire, popping up on sites such as Poe Ghostal and Topless Robot. So, forgive my whole jumping on the bandwagon, but I'm giddily caught up in the wave of epic nostalgia that this video has unleashed.

Harley & Joker Sittin' in a Tree - A bunch of pics leaked out recently of the upcoming Toys R Us exclusive DCUC Mad Love 2 pack featuring Harley Quinn and the Joker looking all lovey-dovey. Collector's are already loving the less-blue-in-the-face version of Harley. I'm predicting this one to be a smash hit. (originally spotted on Toyriffic)

I Totally Want These Robocop and Michael Jackson Thriller Figures! - Besides them being brilliantly done, just think about the awesome stop-motion animations you could make about the adventures of Robocop and Zombie Micheal Jackson fighting crime together! In space! Against aliens! With a special guest appearance by the Shadow! It boggles the mind. (Via Super Punch)

DCUC Wave 19! - MTV Geek got the exclusive to show off the newest offerings from Mattel with their 19th wave of DC Universe Classics figures. The wave includes Sandman (not the gloomy Neil Gaiman version, but the gas-gun guy), The Atom, Hawkman, Lord Naga, Magog and possibly the cutest version of Stargirl I have ever seen.
