The Tampa Bay Lightning are still in the running for the Stanley Cup after beating the Pittsburgh Penguins Wednesday April 27.
Many fans feared the end of the line for the hockey team after the devastating loss Wednesday April 20 but rather than tuck their tails between their legs the Lightning came back strong beating the Penguins 8-2 on Sat Apr 23, 4-2 on Mon Apr 25 and again 1-0 Wed Apr 27, 2011.

The 16th annual SanPar Leukemia Benefit Golf Tournament will be held Friday, May, 6 at the Westchase golf course.
The SanPar Leukemia Benefit Golf Tournament benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Every year teams are assembled to play a round of golf, bid on silent auction items, compete for raffle prizes and then enjoy dinner all while raising funds for the research and treatment of blood cancers.
Registration begins at 12 p.m. and the shotgun start is at 1:30 p.m. The entry fee is $150 per person with prizes for 1st place, closest to the pin, straightest drive and putting. After the tournament awards will be announced during a buffet style dinner along with door prize and raffle winners.

The Working Women of Tampa Bay will host its second annual Mother's Day expo Tuesday, May, 3 from 6pm-9pm at the Bayfront Hilton in Downtown St. Petersburg.
Admission is free for the members of the Working Women of Tampa Bay and $5 for non-members. Money raised will go to Pace Center for Girls.

The annual Pride on 7th event will be held Saturday, April, 30, 2011 starting at 9:00 a.m. The event will kick off with the anti-bullying walk and culminate with a red carpet dance party at G-Bar, an Ybor nightclub.
