Jon Stewart is finding himself in a catch-22 this week.

On one hand, the weekend brought about one of the most easily mockable stories to date. A Representative named Weiner allegedly tweeted a photo of his wiener? Now that's the "sweet spot." But on the other hand, the photo in question appears to belong to Stewart's old college buddy Rep. Anthony Weiner.

On Tuesday night's show, Stewart responded to his friend's unfortunate situation by coming to his defense. Well, sort of. Stewart actually insisted that Weiner's wiener just doesn't look like the one in the photo.

"In real life, in my memory, this guy had a lot more 'Anthony' and a lot less 'Weiner,'" Stewart said. "The only thing they have in common is that they both lean to the extreme left!"

The beauty of it all is that "us libs" [drink] can both laugh heartily with great merriment at the total irony of it all, the comedy gold (on the Left!) and defend Anthony Weiner's character and his being the victim of this (so called prank) --All at the Same Time!

As a librarian (we have our own roundtable of freedom of speech rights) I'm reminding you that hacking is wrong. It is cyber-burg­lery and it is illegal. Put it to the "what if it happened to me?" test. Put it to the librrarian test. Real journalism­, as Stewart reminds us is "reporting­", puts this and takes his message to the next level.

Amazing all of the anti Weiner comments.

If I were investigat­ing the case, I would be tracking those names associated with the negative over the top comments. Because it sure seems as though, those that comment the loudest and the most ridiculous are on a mission to sway public opinion despite facts.

So who are you and who do you work for?

Or do you just have that much contempt for anyone that is from the other side of the aisle?
