Lytess Slimming Leggings: Can Caffeine-Laced Pants Really Help You Lose Inches? (VIDEO)

Our "Good Morning America" gal pal Becky Worley -- well, we wish we were gal pals -- has set her skeptical sights on a new product: caffeine-laced leggings. The $50 pants made by Lytess have caffeine sewed right into the stretchy fabric and promise to slim your hips and thighs after three weeks' wear. Too good (and weird) to be true?

The verdict (SPOILER ALERT!): Worley sure looked cute, but she didn't lose any inches. The leggings didn't even get her "totally wired," which would have been an awesome side effect. Looks like we're not giving up our gym memberships anytime soon...or our Starbucks breaks.

Quick Poll

Would you try caffeine-infused leggings?

SURE! Anything to lose a few inches.

NO WAY! Just a silly new weight-loss scam.

Pants? Pa-lease!

Here is the secret to losing inches.... Are you ready?

50 minutes everyday on the elliptical machine. It works. Trust me on this.

You are right, however, lotions with caffene temporarily smooths out lumps and pumps and makes legs look better. Mixing used coffee grounds in with your scrub does the same thing but I found it too messy to be worth the effort.

Should have tried sewing capascum into those leggings-guaranteed, something would have happened.

Yes, so the next time the waitress spills coffee all over you, say no thanks to the free drycleaning and shed those coffee pounds away.

there is a simple and no cost method to make your legs and thighs look better.. Simply by using coffee grounds loaded on a sponge when taking a shower .. Also good for stretch marks ...

This article caused me to use a lot of calories laughing. Those pants have actually been around in various incarnations for a long time (see previous Bliss catalogues). Nothing new under the sun. Hint below from Dr. Oz is actually better than these things!

I don't think I would purchase this item, I do hear that if you take used coffee grinds and rub in on the thighs it is a temperary fix for cellulite, so I would say that is the reason for the pants. This fix is a Dr.Oz solution.
