    Milwaukee, Wisconsin: Adaptive Microsystems LLC plans to permanently close its plant on Milwaukee’s northwest side, leaving about 70 employees without jobs.

Reps. Tim Murphy (R-PA) and Pete Visclosky (D-IN) have introduced the American Steel First Act of 2011, legislation that would require the Department of Transportation, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security to use only American-made iron and steel in their projects when permissible.
