Dakota Fanning Graduates From High School

Dakota Fanning Casey Steele/WireImage

We've watched her grow up right before our eyes, so, naturally, we can't help but feel a little sense of pride ourselves at seeing Dakota Fanning graduate from high school.

Yep, the kid who initially made her way into our hearts playing Sean Penn's adorable daughter in 2001's I Am Sam and, most recently, gave us another reason to love those Twilight flicks, donned her cap and gown on Monday to join her fellow classmates for a ceremony at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

From being crowned both homecoming princess and homecoming queen to now receiving her diploma, the 17-year-old Breaking Dawn actress is definitely reminding us that, despite all the Hollywood movie star stuff, she's still your typical teen.

More from Marc Malkin

While there wasn't any table-flipping, things definitely got down and dirty on Sunday's season finale of Real Housewives of Orange County when Tamra Barney threw a glass of red wine (and a cease-and-desist letter) in frenemy Jeana Keough's face for badmouthing Tamra in the press.

And while Keough may have seemed like the bad guy for trash-talking Tamra's divorce to estranged ex Simon Barney, it's Tamra who is being blasted by fellow castmate Gretchen Rossi...

Despite pictures of romantic strolls and rumors of makeouts with his Breaking Dawn costar Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone insisted to us at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, "I'm single right now."

Aw man, we were seriously looking forward to Robsten, part deux!

But just 'cause this Twi-guy says he's on his own, doesn't mean he doesn't believe in love or on-set romances:

The Bachelorette: Ding-Dong, the Jerk Is Gone!

More from Watch with Kristin

OMG.

As if The Bachelorette's Ashley Hebert didn't have enough reasons to cry this season (and all of them start with "Bentley"), the producers went for the equivalent of shoving her face in the mud tonight by tasking her suitors with a Friar's Club-style roast on the group date.

Things started off mildly enough, with the dashing Ryan P. falling flat with a joke about why Bentley was still there and most of the guys just ripping on each other. But then the seemingly kind of sheepish William, who's actually been on a solo date with Ashley, who tore right into her with, "So beautiful, so gorgeous, so used..."

And it was all downhill from there.

Golden Girls Theme Writer Andrew Gold Dies

Andrew Gold may not have been a household name, but you probably know all the words to at least one of his songs.

The musician and songwriter, who had a top-10 hit with "Lonely Boy" but whose "Thank You for Being a Friend" is forever immortalized as The Golden Girls theme song, died Friday in his sleep. He was 59 and had suffered from renal cancer, but he seemed to be responding well to treatment and may have had a heart attack, according to his family.

Born to a singer mom and composer dad in Burbank, Calif., Gold—already an accomplished musician—approached Linda Ronstadt when she and the Stone Poneys performed at his North Hollywood high school in the 1960s. He went on to become a permanent member of her band and was responsible for the arrangements on the albums Heart Like a Wheel, Prisoner in Disguise and Hasten Down the Wind.
