It's been a big day for Apple fans. The Worldwide Developers Conference is well underway after Steve Jobs and other Apple execs made announcement after announcement during the lengthy, surprise-packed keynote address.

From unveiling the iCloud to rolling out a host of new changes for Apple's Mac and mobile operating systems Apple pulled no punches.

iCloud

Apple's cloud-based storage service, available Fall 2011, will provide a hub for iOS and Mac users to stash and access apps, documents, contacts, ebooks, purchased music and more. The product is free to use and aims to unify the user's digital life by letting her access cloud-stored content on any Apple device.

World Wide Developers Conference WWDC. That means this was a Conference for Apple software DEVELOPERS people! There's not going to be hardware product releases today. This happens every year...

Considerin­g I just bought the iPhone 4, I really hope they don't release a new one for at least a couple of months. It's nice having the newest thing for at least a half year.

This is Apple. Never in the history of the company could you say that what you just bought has a terribly long shelf-life­. I consider any computer, or phone or whatever, to be "a two-year asset, max." I usually buy my stuff from the gently-use­d/recondit­ioned branch of their store, just as I usually buy gently-use­d cars.

From an absolute fanboi I still agree with you. Cloud is still a rediculous concept to me and I don't care that Apple put its logo on it.
