Motorola Droid 3 Video

Hold onto your hats, Droid fans.

German-language blog PhonePads obtained what appear to be official hands-on tutorial videos from Verizon and Motorola that walk potential users through various features of the upcoming Motorola Droid 3.

The videos allegedly demonstrate the Droid 3's slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Swype virtual keyboard, and 8 MP camera with LED flash and explain that the device will record 1080p HD video.

Engadget reports on other new additions seen in the videos, namely, "a pair of volume keys on the right edge (instead of the usual rocker), the apparent lack of a dedicated camera button, and both micro-USB and mini-HDMI on the left edge in the Droid X2 configuration."

"Earlier rumors also note the Droid 3's screen is 4 inches at a 960-by-540 resolution, but it's unclear whether the processor powering the phone will be an Nvidia Tegra 2, or OMAP," writes PCWorld.

Will the Droid 3 run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and support 4G downloads? Impossible to tell from the videos, which include the following disclaimer: "Software shown not final. Your screens may vary." Still, these allegedly official videos offer a tantalizing look at the Droid 3.

You can watch all thee videos (below). Do you think this is really the Motorola Droid 3? Weigh in via our QuickPoll.

When are cell maker going to get a clue a do a 5" screen? That would be perfect! Big enough to rival tablets but small enough to pocket!

Video is already blocked. Lame. Motorola needs to announce something really good though.
Wishlist includes: 8mp camera, 1.2ghz dual core, 4 inch or better screen, 960x540 resolution, 4g, micro usb, mini hdmi, and the newest android version, minus the bloatware. Come on Motorola, you can do it! That phone looks close from the picture and description. Oh yea, I want it by December too. *fingers crossed*

Not enough to keep me on Verizon when they expect me to give up unlimited data altogether even if I absolutely love my Droid 1. Looks like a great phone, 5-row QWERTY keyboard is very appealing to me, but I'd also never voluntarily own a phone with MotoBlur and a presumably locked bootloader preventing me from flashing my own ROMs. I'd rather wait for the next Nexus phone and pray it comes on Sprint.

Is this the Droid 3? I don't know. Why don't you tell me, you are the ones suppose to be reporting the news.

The 8 mega pixels sounds sweet. I want a new phone but I will wait until the one I have is totally obsolete. Just joking, I probably will give another in a few months, but I will get an Android. Mainly because it is open source with inputs. I'm not bouncing my data off servers to get access to, or, to retrieve my own data. My entire life doesn't need to be lived online or open access for some hacker.

I have an HTC Droid Incredible...very happy with it. I was never excited about the motorola droids features... they seemed to lag behind along with there android version. I don't care about the front facing camera like everyone else seems to. I will probably stick with HTC, but I might switch to Sprint because of Verizon killing the unlimited data option.

Too clunky, they should go with something sleeker, I know they can do it since I've handled the Motorola Spice.

I guess I don't really care because I'm on the first Droid and still have another year left on my contract.
