Gennette Cordova: New York Post Reporter Lied To Me

Nyp Weiner

First Posted: 06/ 6/11 08:10 AM ET Updated: 06/ 6/11 09:44 AM ET

The woman at the center of the Anthony Weiner controversy has accused a New York Post reporter of misrepresenting himself in order to get an interview with her.

Gennette Cordova, the Seattle-area student who received the now-infamous Twitter photo from Weiner's account, lashed out at Post reporter Reuven Fenton in a string of tweets on Friday and Saturday.

The Post published what it billed as an "exclusive" interview and photo shoot with Cordova on Friday. Cordova immediately cried foul, saying that she had been "Trojan horsed" by Fenton. She claimed that he posed as a photographer's assistant, never identified himself as a reporter and never asked to interview her.

"At random moments throughout the day the name Reuven Fenton flashes in my mind," Cordova tweeted. "You are everything that's wrong with journalism."

The Post said it stood by its story.

Gee, a reporter lied and then misrepresented the interview. What a surprise! There is very little true "journalism" left in this country any more. Unfortunately, Ms. Cordova is young and maybe not yet cynical enough to be properly suspicious of this liar.

Reporters are the only thing slimy-er than lawyers. They have no lives so they're intent on wrecking every one elses.

So, when Weiner sent her a pic of his weiner, he forgot to put "DM" or "D" (direct message) so it would be private message? What a schm@ck.

It's NOT a picture of Weiner's weiner, but a pic of a BULGE in his gray briefs. Yes, *WE THE PEOPLE* know what's making the bulge.....some call it his 'junk' and others call it his 'package'. Regardless, it makes NO nevermind. He's done nothing 'illegal' nor has he violated ANY House rules. He should RESIGN right after VITTER resigns.

why would you defend this guy?

Let's see. Christopher Lee resigned for sending a shirtless picture of himself. Weiner is not engaged in one trist, not two, or even three. SIX relationships including phone sex with someone not his wife. No, he didn't cheat physically, but engaging in phone sex and sending pictures of his junk to other women and then lying about it, is a new low. There are House rules regarding ethics and not bringing shame to the institution.

Then we'd have no legislators. That doesn't happen in reality. If he didn't use any "company time" or "company resources", for lack of better terms, then this isn't any of our business. He did nothing illegal. I'm sure his wife, isn't happy with him, to put it mildly. But, again, not our business.

WIENER MUST RESIGN!

(That is, the very next day AFTER Vitter resigns.)

The Post lied? Shocking.

Americans, when the New York Post calls, this is what you say ...

"I don't care to subscribe."

When they say it's a reporter from the Post, say ...

"I don't care to subscribe."

And keep on saying it until they hang up.

This is no surprise. One must keep in mind that the New York Post is owned by Rupert Murdoch...same guy who owns Fox News. Don't ever expect the truth from that bunch.
