Metrorail and Metrobus
Washington, D.C.’s, Metrorail is a clean, convenient subway system that stops within a 20-30 minute walk to Georgetown. Students also can use the Metrobus bus system to access campus. Consult the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Web site for specific route and fare information.

Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS)
The GUTS Service operates five shuttle routes connecting the campus to Metrorail stations at Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C., at Rosslyn in Virginia, at the Georgetown Law Center on Capitol Hill, and to Georgetown University offices on Wisconsin Avenue.

DC Circulator
The DC Circulator is a bus service with an East/West route running from Union Station to Georgetown and a North/South route running between the Convention Center and the Southwest Waterfront everyday from 7am-9pm. The cost is only $1.

Parking

Southwest Parking Garage

The Southwest Parking Garage entrance is located just inside the Canal Street gates to main campus. Parking is available for a flat rate of $15 per day. Cars must be moved out of the garage by no later than 6:00 am the following morning. Please note that the garage only accepts cash payments.

Street parking

Street parking around campus is limited and strictly enforced by Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and Department of Public Works. Most streets require a Zone 2 residential permit issued by the District of Columbia for parking for longer than two hours. A limited number of metered spaces are available on Reservoir Road, 37th Street, and Prospect Street.
