Jeff Probst Lists His Beverly Glen Home For $900,000

Posted: 05-21-11 08:25 PM

Jeff Probst, host of CBS's "Survivor," has just listed his Los Angeles home for $900,000. He may be looking to get this private pad off his hands because he just purchased the estate of Gene Autry for $5 million last month. The home, which is known as "The Lodge of Beverly Glen," is a three-story Craftsmen style house that is nestled into the canyon. Built in 1918, it has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large living room, and a detached office. Outside, the .47 acre property features a spa and three-tier water fall, hiking trails, and a fenced-in yard. We're surprised to see that the host of one of TV's biggest shows owned such a modest, quaint home, but he probably rarely used it -- what with all that globe-trotting he normally does.

Interesting house. Hideous furniture. And couldn't the landscape architect have done a better/more creative job with the hot tub?

The exterior and yard are much more interesting than the interior.

Nice and simple. Love all the trees. Needs a pool though.

first of all - of COURSE its staged, al these people are wealthy enough to not have to rely on the sale to 'trade up' like you or I.
second - its a really simple, comfortable and unassuming place, says a lot about jeff compared to his peers.

I love the Beverly Glen area. In the heart of Los Angeles, yet rustic and beautiful.

Do they purposely put vaseline on the lens of the camera ?

Why are there no interior shots of the living room - or the "front" of the "Craftsmen" (sic) home ?

probably didn't "survive"

The outside living area has character, but it's obviously staged. I'm not shocked though, I love Survivor as much as the next adventure-starved shut-in, but the goofs I've picked out over the seasons expose quite a bit of Survivor staging themselves. :)

I'm not saying that's what I'D do if it were mine, but that's likely what the buyer WILL do with it.

I like it but all those trees on a very steep hillside would make my fire insurance underwriter a very nervous person (and my premium unaffordable).
