'Jackass,' MTV Stars And Other Celebrities React To Ryan Dunn's Death (TWEETS)

The Huffington Post   |  Dean Praetorius First Posted: 06-20-11 01:18 PM   |   Updated: 06-20-11 01:35 PM

"Jackass" star Ryan Dunn died last night in a tragic car crash at the age of 34.

The film and television actor apparently crashed his car around 3 a.m. EDT last night at the intersection of Route 322 and New Street in West Goshen Township, Pennsylvania. TMZ confirmed the death with April Margera, the mother of fellow "Jackass" star Bam Margera.

Though no official cause for the accident has been determined as of yet, Dunn posted this picture of him drinking on his Twitter account, shortly before the believed time of the accident.

There has been little word from Dunn's close friends and "Jackass" collaborators since the accident. Bam Margera, Johnny Knoxville, and Steve-O are all yet to have said anything about his passing on Twitter.

However, Jason 'Weeman' Acuna did post about about his friend's passing.

You can see his and other celebrity reaction below, as well as MTV's official tweet on Dunn's passing.

UPDATE: Johnny Knoxville has since reacted to the loss of Dunn via Twitter. His tweet is listed in the slideshow below.

I met Ryan and Bam at a bar in West Chester shortly after their film Haggard came out. I told them that I really enjoyed the film and both of them were very nice. Bam in particular was excited that the movie was filmed in West Chester. Ryan started in the film. Ryan will be missed.

How about RIP Zachary Hartwell, Dunn's passenger who died because of Dunn's reckless behavior. His death is the REAL tragedy in this situation.

"Upon arrival, police located one vehicle in the road and in the woods that was fully engulfed in flames," the report said. "DUI" was not indicated in the report.

RIP Ryan Dunn and my condolences to all involved.

Could you at least have the decency to take off the rate the slide portion of the slideshow of tweets about somebody's death for crying out loud? How disrespectful.

PS Love the site, just not this glitch, as I'm calling it for now

You don't find it ALL disrespectful???
The electronic equivalent of a Hallmark card about the death of a friend???
I am not "all-a-twitter."

When we make high risk choices and nothing happens, we eventually condition ourselves to believe that nothing will ever happen to us. So, in turn, our high risk choices become the norm...it's too bad that some of us don't think about how our life would change if we lost the things we value. How selfish to think of nothing but my good time.

RIP Mr. Dunn and condolences to his family. He was the only guy in that crew I found to be a semi-reasonable person.

condolences to his supporters. Not saying he was dui, but as a multiple duier caught 2x, realized that my laziness was the cause. If I had left my car behing and got it later, I would have avoided multiple crashes.

Does anyone else see a problem with tweeting condolences?
When are we gonna get over our opinion-o'-the-minute craze.
Not only do we not need to know everyone's random thoughts, we really should at least act like we have better things to do than harvest celebrity tweets.
C'mon folks...a little pride here.
