One of the most effective ways to raise godly kids is to get comfortable talking to them about God and the Bible.

Some Bible scholars describe him as a "type of Christ," meaning one who reveals the same qualities as Jesus Christ. With no record of father or mother, and no genealogical background in Scripture, this description is fitting. In a world taken over by evil, violence, and corruption, much like today, Noah lived a righteous life. The Bible says he was blameless among the people of his time. But he wasn't perfect. His story shows the negative influence sin can have on those around us, especially our children.
And then there's King David--a man after God's own heart. He is another Bible father with much to teach men of today. His "absentee fathering" demonstrates a devastating lesson about the end result of not disciplining children when they needed it.
