I was just trolling Android Market and found Budget Book. This app has some great features, including quite a few budget/personal finance reports, DropBox backup and restore for data, 5 different themes, and data can be stored on the SD card. Budget Book was created by Thomas Schiffler, and can be set to one of 14 currencies.
Budget Book earned a 4.5 out of 5 rating on Android Market, and has a free demo with a full version for $2.15 USD.

The anniversary of the tornado in my back yard was this week, which reminded me to remind my readers of the importance of personal home inventory software.
The shock of having a one or more tornadoes touch down in the little village I live in is finally beginning to wear off. Nearly 30 homes were destroyed by the twister, five were flattened by the funnel cloud and the others sustained so much damage that a complete tear down and rebuild is necessary. Thanks to basements in each home, there were no fatalities or serious injuries
My family was fortunate in comparison to many others in town. Our home only sustained exterior damage, the windows did not burst, and the roof has been holding up to rain storms since the tornado but needs to be torn off and replaced. Windows blew out at many of my neighbors' homes, spreading debris throughout the house. Some furniture and household items were severely damaged or lost.
I bring up the subject of home inventory software quite a bit. It's easy to ignore the need for this type of software, but should disaster strike, it's an irreplaceable help. Learn more about personal inventory software and make it an addition to your personal finance software tools.

There has been a lot of talk about Mac software on this blog lately. In the interest of fairness, I'm giving Windows personal finance software a shout out today.
GnuCash is the only free Windows software for managing money that I know of, and with a price like that, it's painless to give it a try.
Quicken is probably the most well-known software of this type, and it's lower-priced Deluxe version has enough features for most people. The Premier version is really packed with features, but is overkill for many folks.
My current favorite for Windows personal finance software is You Need A Budget. My only wish for this very fine software is that it automatically downloaded transactions. But, the developer continues to improve YNAB, so this could be a feature that will be implemented eventually.
