Alerts

AddThis alerts were developed to help you stay informed when there are changes in sharing or traffic to your content. Alerts are delivered as short emails to the address you provided when you registered for AddThis.

Alerts can be created for an entire profile, a domain, or a specific page. Alerts can delivered as they happen, or as a daily or weekly digest.

Adding an Alert

You can add alerts for any profile you created. If someone shared a profile with you, you opt to receive alerts for that profile as well.

To add a new alert, follow these steps:

1. Make sure that you are signed in to AddThis
2. Go to Settings
3. Select Profiles
4. If you have more than one profile, select the profile to which you would like to add the alert
5. Scroll down to Alerts and select Add an Alert
6. Select the type of alert trigger, whether that trigger should be applied to any domain in the profile, a particular domain or a particular page
7. If applicable, specify to which domain or page the alert should be applied

That's it! Click Save to finish.

Frequency of Delivery

By default, we will deliver alerts to your email address as they happen. If you would prefer, you can also elect to receive a daily or weekly digest of important events that happened during the period you select. To change your delivery frequency, follow these steps:

1. Make sure that you are signed in to AddThis
2. Go to Settings
3. Select Profiles
4. If you have more than one profile, select the profile to which you would like to add the alert
5. Scroll down to Alerts and across from Frequency select Edit
6. You will then be presented the option to have alerts delivered as they happen, once a day or weekly

Click Save to finish.
