EuroFinance chose Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) as its official charity in May 2006 as it is an internationally recognised body, reflecting EuroFinance's global reach. MSF, also known as Doctors Without Borders, provides medical assistance to populations in distress, victims of natural or man-made disasters and victims of armed conflict. MSF relies on donations from the public for two key reasons: to ensure the freedom to provide humanitarian assistance whenever and wherever it is needed, and to remain independant from political religious and economic interests.
