High Court OKs Sales Of Violent Video Games To Kids()  

California has lost its argument that the government should protect children from the effects of violent video games. The Supreme Court says the First Amendment protects their sale.

June 28, 2011 The Supreme Court has struck down California's law that banned the sales to minors. The divided court said the games are covered under First Amendment guarantees of free speech. The state had said studies showed the games make kids more violent.
