About This Initiative
The International Higher Education Support Program promotes the advancement of higher education within the humanities and social sciences by providing assistance to a network of institutions ranging from undergraduate universities to doctoral programs and centers for advanced study.

Academic Fellowship Program
This program contributes to higher education reform by supporting promising local scholars and assisting progressive universities in certain countries of South Eastern Europe and Eurasia.

Central Asia and Caucasus Research and Training Initiative
This initiative provides support and training for research by young university-based academics in the post-Soviet countries of South Caucasus and Central Asia, Afghanistan, and Mongolia.

Regional Seminar for Excellence in Teaching (ReSET)
The Regional Seminar for Excellence in Teaching aims to develop and support teaching excellence in the humanities and social sciences at the undergraduate university level.

Call for Applications: Central Asia and Caucasus Research and Training Initiative
Deadline: November 7, 2011
The Open Society Institute invites young academics working towards their first doctorate and recent graduates of PhD or equivalent programs in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to apply for fellowships supporting the development of original scholarly research.
