Al Qathafi Repeats Threat Against Europe if NATO Attacks on Libya Not Stopped

For the second successive Friday, Libyan leader Muammar Al Qathafi lashed out on Friday at those seeking to push him from power, warning in an audio message broadcast on Libyan state TV that NATO and his other enemies would be trampled "under the feet of the Libyan masses". He again threatened an attack on Europe as revenge against the NATO-led attacks against him and his regime.

He again threatened to send hundreds of Libyans to become 'martyrs' in Europe. “Hundreds of Libyans will martyr in Europe. An eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth. But we will give them a chance to come to their senses,' Al Qathafi said.

He also said he will press charges against NATO and the European Union, and vowed to 'liberate Europe from imperialist nations and defeat the aggressors.

In the message Al Qathafi relayed to thousands of his supporters in Sabha, some 750 km south of capital Tripoli, he demanded that NATO stop carrying out air strikes against the government troops and to leave the Libyans to solve their own problems themselves. He said NATO is wrong to think it can topple the Libyan leadership.

The Libyan leader went on to say that his leadership is based on the Libyan people, not himself, and will not collapse under NATO attack.

He said that, "the gathering of more than a million people is a new message to Europe, to the crusaders and colonialists, the leadership does not belong to Al Qathafi, it is the people's government and the people will not give up an inch of its land or bow down to invaders."

In the Libyan capital, Tripoli, meanwhile, thousands once again rallied in the Green Square. They first gathered for mass prayers under tents set up to shield them from the hot mid-day sun for mass prayers and also a show of support for the Libyan leader.

The gathering follows a similar show last week when another large pro-government demonstration there, showed that Al Qathafi can still muster significant support in his stronghold Tripoli.

With his voice rising to a shout, Al Qathafi warned that all those challenging his regime would be defeated. "The enemies of the masses will fall under the feet of the masses, under the marching of the masses. The collaborators and traitors will fall - east and west - and NATO will fall under the feet of the Libyan masses, under the feet of the free Libyan people!"

The Libyan leader has not been seen publicly in recent weeks, apparently not to let the alliance know where he is staying, thus avoid being targeted by NATO air Strikes.

After the audio-message on Friday evening, Al Qathafi's supporters in Tripoli sang pro-Al Qathafi slogans of support, waved green flags and carried portraits of the leader. Some of them even celebrated by letting out bursts of gunfire.

The imam leading the prayers urged Libyans to stop fighting one another. The said that Western nations had intervened in Libya's civil war because they were after the country's oil.

"Pray for a victory over NATO," he told worshippers, adding that "God will punish those who brought NATO here" - an apparent reference to rebel leaders based in the eastern city of Benghazi.

To rebels in Benghazi and eastern Libya which they control, the imam warned: "Distrust the traitors, they want to sell the country to the crusaders and enemies of God. Do not have confidence in them and learn the lesson from the invasion of Iraq" led by the United States in 2003.

I must say that I have been surprised that Gaddafi has not attacked the west over the past months.

He must have loyal followers in many countrys. The west have effectively declared war on Gaddafi, and now he qill quite possibly attack the west, most likely through bombings or shootings.

It would be hard to class him as a terrorist for doing this, as long as civilians were not expressley targeted.

Gaddafi's troops still have great equipment, though possibly their bullet proof vests could do with updating.

Good luck to all, I personally am feeling rather bad about this whole situation and do not want to see the rebels advance further on Tripoli, for

I dont think they have the legal right, but also because I think they will die bad deaths.

Being a leader is not easy it is through power of the people which will make you lead the nation, Col Gadaffi and the Libyan people and the whole world unite and defeat the USand its allies aggressors and all their running dogs [Rebel], people of the world ,be courageous, dare to fight, defy defficulties and advance wave upon wave. Then the whole world will belong to the people.Monster of all kinds shall be destroyed. Gadaffi the people of Africa are with you for peace and you will win the war ."But libyans should bear in mine that if Obama and his allies does not stop their arrogant and unreasonable demands and its scheme to extend aggression , the only course for the libyan peopleis to remain determined to go on fighting side by side with col Gadaffi to protect your oil and other raw materials it is for your children and generations.Gadaffi you have a revolutionary heart and you are fighting the war of the masses and the masses will win the imperialists.NATO stop bombing Libyan people there is no target in Libya except civilians which is your target.

Dear Tripoli Post:
I hope you will publish this note, finally, for it is sincere, like all the previous ones.

Long live Col. Muammar Al Qathafi!

Although I am Christian, I do not believe that EU, NATO nor U.S. political and military leaders have any religion at all. They are paid criminal executioners of International Financiers.
Money is their religion, not GOD!
I wish to help Official and only Legitimate Government of Libya led by great Col Al Qathafi to fight against this Evil Invasion and brutal, illegal aggression!
This is very unfair fight like David against Goliath!
Please let me know how to best help Nation of Libya.
Thank you.
May GOD bless Libyans and prevent further suffering of her innocence.
Sincerely,
Dr. Michael M. Galic
