DSpace 1.7.2 is a bug-fix release of DSpace. If resolves a few minor issues that existed in both 1.7.0 and 1.7.1, including:
* Resolves an Oracle database bug when performing EPerson Admin tasks * Resolves a caching issue in "Recent Submissions" listing for XMLUI * Fixes an error message in the DSpace CommandLine launcher
Upgrading to 1.7.2 is optional since it is a small bug-fix release. But the above three issues have been mentioned by members of the community so the Committers felt they were important enough to resolve before the upcoming 1.8.0 release.
For additional details about issues resolved in 1.7.2 (or in 1.7.1), please see the Version History
