Assistant Professor in Neurobiology

The Department of Biology at Georgetown University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, to begin Fall 2012. Candidates focusing on neurobiology, especially those interested in development and plasticity, are encouraged to apply. This position will complement ongoing research and teaching in neurobiology and biology at Georgetown University, including the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience, and undergraduate majors in Neurobiology and Biology. Successful candidates are expected to have earned a Ph.D., to have spent two or more years in a post-doctoral training position, to have enthusiasm for mentoring and teaching graduate and undergraduate students, and to maintain an active, extramurally-funded research program.

The Biology Department is within the Georgetown College of Arts & Sciences and has strong ties with the Georgetown University’s Medical Center and Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
