Securing External Grants

All external grants must be administered through the Office of Sponsored Programs at Georgetown University. The OSP web page specifies the required procedures and practices, see: http://www9.georgetown.edu/grad/osp/osp_www/. Please be aware that similar procedures are now in place at all US Universities and are also now required by most large grant agencies.
The process begins with the completion of an electronic Proposal Transmittal Form which is available on the OSP web page. The form will automatically be sent to all University personnel who must approve your proposal and accompanying budget (including the Department Chair, Graduate Dean, and Office of Sponsored Programs). Please note that the most time consuming part of the process is IRB approval if such approval is required for your research. It behooves the applicant to begin the process well before any prospective deadline.
