A tropical storm hits the Philippines, killing at least nine people, causing floods and landslides, and forcing tens of thousands to flee their homes.

At least 17 people have been killed as heavy rain deluged homes and caused chaos across northern areas of the country.
"Dry and sunny" has been replaced with "rain and showers". Liam Dutton explains all.
