According to information received from the organization Sahrawi human rights, CODESA, workers at Fos- Boucraa, and many other groups Sahrawi revendiquelt the right to synndiquer and socio-economic rights more extensive, requiring the Moroccan government to reveal fate of missing persons and to release all Saharawi political prisoners.
Saharawi citizens have organized peaceful demonstrations three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) to the administration Society phosphates, the Delegation of Energy and Mines and the court of appeal in El Aaiun. Many other groups of Saharawi unemployed graduates appear to demand work. They all denounced the exclusion of the Sahrawi by Moroccan authorities. The Saharawi have been hit hard by unemployment and poverty, while Morocco continues to exploit and plunder the resources of soil and waters of Western Sahara.
In addition, the Sahrawi victims of grave violations of human rights committed by the Moroccan government began a sit- in that has lasted more than 19 days before the regional office of the National Council of Moroccan human rights. “The group claims the right to social integration and condemns Morocco’s refusal to offer them jobs. On the other hand, other groups of victims of human rights violations and arbitrary arrests Saharawi held every Monday and Thursday, events in the same place.
In turn, for two days, workers Inaach (program social work, through which people receive benefits from cleaning the streets, without work contract) staged peaceful demonstrations outside the delegation of “Inaach” in El Aaiun. The workers of this institution have claimed their right to be formally employed and receive health insurance and social security. They also demanded that the Moroccan government to stop layoffs without any type of coverage.
The town of Tan Tan also south duMaroc had a strong police presence for nearly three weeks. Security forces in the city have been ordered to block all access to the Saharawi seat of the province, after a sit-in inside and outside the building organized by a group of Saharawi unemployed which echoed the same claim that the above-mentioned groups.
Expressing the same requirements, dozens of Saharawi had been demonstrated and sit-ins Goulimine in southern Morocco, outside the headquarters of the fifth province for more than two months, accompanied by numerous hunger strikes. In addition, there have been several protests in the bus station in the city and opposite the headquarters of the province, with brutal attacks and harassment from the Moroccan authorities. These attacks have been documented by the Saharawi Committee for the Defence of Human Rights in Goulimine in its statements and reports.
Finally, in the town of Assa, south of Morocco, there have been numerous marches and peaceful protests after death the Sahrawi student “Hammadi Chabad” in Rabat, to demand an impartial investigation into the case. In the same context, the Saharawi students in Rabat had organized several peaceful demonstrations and hunger strikes on campus “Souissi 1″ to support the six Sahrawi students who were arrested April 21, 2011 and sent to the prison of Salé. They demand the immediate release of their colleagues.
