Call for Proposals: Protection of Minorities and Media Freedom in Italy
The Open Society Foundations is interested in funding work in Italy in two areas: protection of minorities, including Roma and other groups including migrants, refugees, and stateless people; and freedom of the media.
Proposals should focus on one or more of the following activities:
- awareness raising, campaigning, and/or advocacy at the local, national, or international level, related to a specific rights-based issue;
- research and monitoring, including advocacy activity based on research findings;
- legal assistance and litigation;
- development and coordination of civil society organizations.
Funding will be offered for a maximum of 12 months. In exceptional cases funding for a second year will be considered.
