Faculty Research Grants
On an annual and competitive basis, Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar awards internal Faculty Research Grants (FRG) to full-time faculty in support of their research work, particularly projects leading to publication. Research projects are relevant to teaching or otherwise contributes to the intellectual life of Qatar.
National Priorities Research Program
The National Priorities Research Program (NPRP) is QNRF’s flagship program and largest funding opportunity. It is the primary means through which QNRF addresses national, regional, and global needs through research, builds human capital in Qatar, and raises Qatar’s profile within the international research community.
Faculty at Georgetown’s Qatar campus are recipients of NPRP grants used to study Migrant Labor, Arabic Heritage Learners, Bioethics in Islam, GCC Monetary Union and Conflict Resolution.
Publications
A premier research center located on Georgetown's Qatar campus, the Center for International and Regional Studies sponsors major studies of regional and international significance, including research initiatives in the areas of international relations, political economy, and domestic politics of the Gulf.
