• What was your title when you first joined our Company?
• Marketing Associate, Boston.com. Since I started with the Company, I was promoted to Senior Marketing Specialist (Boston.com), Marketing Manager (Boston.com), and then Business Development Manager for Boston Globe Media before serving in my current role as Search Engine Strategist for Define Search Strategies, a new consulting division of The New York Times Company.
• What brought you to our Company?
• I chose to work at Boston.com because of its reputation as the nation’s #1 regional Web site and its fast pace. Also, moving to Boston from out-of-state, I thought working for Boston.com would be a good way to learn about my new surroundings.
• What makes working at our Company so special?
• Two things: first, the people! Over the years I have worked at a number of different companies, and our people are far and away the best I have worked with. They are a professional, personable bunch who I have been privileged to learn from. Second, the reputation of New York Times Company overall. I am so proud to be affiliated with a brand so engrained in modern life; every time I walk through the New York Times' hall of Pulitzers I get choked up.
• What have you learned working at our Company?
• I've learned that it is possible for a 150-year-old company to provide growth for its employees in some of the most cutting-edge areas of media — I am proof of that!!
