A good work environment

The work to improve the working environment at the Riksbank aims to create an attractive workplace that raises employees’ motivation, job satisfaction and efficiency. The Bank offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home so that our employees can combine their high professional ambitions with their private lives. 

Every year we conduct an employee survey in which all employees have the opportunity to submit their views anonymously and sensitive issues can also be raised. The survey also gives managers the opportunity to receive honest feedback that concerns operations and their own leadership.

 

This year’s survey shows that 86 per cent of the employees at the Riksbank are satisfied with their work situation, which is an improvement of 5 percentage points compared with last year.  The Riksbank's employees are strongly committed to their work and feel that there is an open atmosphere at the Bank. The 2008 employee survey also shows that there is continued strong confidence in Governor Stefan Ingves and line managers.

The work on accomplishing well-composed groups is an important part of the managers’ responsibility at the Riksbank and it is a natural component of the long-term competence supply management.
