From Untold Stories, the project Dongting Hu: A Lake in Flux has won first place in the 2011 British Press Photographer's Year.

This multimedia project by photojournalist Sean Gallagher, commissioned by the Pulitzer Center, is part of a larger reporting initiative that looks at China's disappearing wetlands and forests. As Dongting Lake shrinks, scientists explore the extent to which people are affecting the biodiversity of one of the most important lakes in China.

See Gallagher's presentation and learn more about the British Press Photographer's Year.
