Brand New AddThis Buttons with Share Counters

After much development & testing, we’re excited to announce the beta of AddThis buttons with a share counter built in. Right on the AddThis button, you’ll be able to see how many times a page or URL has been shared using the AddThis platform. It comes in two flavors: horizontal or vertical.
Why counters? Users share more often when they see there’s been previous activity. They’re more likely to follow someone else’s lead than to pave new ground themselves. This means more sharing – and more traffic – for you.
We’re excited to get this button out there for you guys to play with and to see what kind of results you get. We’re always working & testing to see how we can produce the most amount of distribution and traffic for you.

This is great, Justin, we really like the new look on NewsBlaze. The counter is a great addition. We’ve only had it running for 7 days and we can see an improvement in sharing and traffic already. Thanks, Justin, we appreciate your work.
New buttons are very clear – plan to put them on all sites.

nice…but it would be nicer if the counters not only showed the number of times the URL has been shared using the AddThis platform but the total number of times the URL has been shared by any means
