Well it's nice... Except that you cannot view or download anything that is not in Google Document formatted files.

Can't create new doc nor can i upload files such as pdf or docx. Quite useless.

Are the two reviews below sarcasm? Thank you Google team! I have developed a reputation as some kind of genius because whenever I tell someone they are wasting money on Word, Office, Wordperfect, blahaha and they should pay me half and I'll teach the man to Google to pay for a lifetime. (I follow the update tracks and no one can think of one that you don't have slated to conquer.)

Hello, I'm just ponderdering and wondering what happened to the picture file that was included in the Google Desktop gadgets, added onto my computer. How can i get my personal pictures added back in with the sidebar of other google gadgets.I miss seeing my pictures rotate on my desktop. Please Help me soon, NOW!! Thanks

what happened? Docs, Reader, Gmail - they all fail to load even after reinstall.

Can't upload visio file, and can't show the files except word, excel, PPT.

Neither this gadget, nor any of the other variations of Google's Docs Gadget work properly. See http://blog.kerika.com/?p=149 for how we got around the problem.

Cannot upload pdf files, so it's useless for me.

It could be better with the option to show collections or show files. I have important things in my collections with specified acceses. So it is only fast acces to the documents for me.

I like this, but it don't support traditional chinese Q_Q

What I really need is the ability to open the doc right there on the desktop, in that little window. Would be great.

search and open of google docs is nice, but will not let me create a new one from the desktop. "new" link goes to a dead page.

I agree with pathology on the view by folder request. Also, upload by folder. The folder requests would swing the gadget rating to a 5.
