Welcome

The Georgetown University Program on Justice and Peace (PJP) is a transdisciplinary, cross-cultural community of students, faculty, staff, and community partners who share a commitment to the academic study and lived pursuits of peace and social justice. At present, PJP offers undergraduate students a program of study toward a minor in the Georgetown College of Arts and Sciences and a certificate in the School of Foreign Service, the School of Nursing and Health Studies, and the McDonough School of Business. The Program fosters creative and collaborative envisioning to explore complex questions of practical morality and domestic and global politics. Innovative approaches to teaching and learning, such as student-produced documentary films, blogs, social action, and community-based learning, hallmark the Program. A senior thesis project is the capstone of the Justice and Peace minor/certificate, and allows each student to explore in detail a inquiry of interest and commit to it through social action.

We welcome you to explore our website, connect with us through Facebook or Twitter, read a senior thesis, or attend a PJP-sponsored event.
