A security source has come out to state that order was swiftly restored at the military Hike Step Prison, playing down allegations that inmates wreaked havoc in the facility in protest against the treatment they have been receiving.

Activists said Monday night that civilian prisoners rioted because they were "unfairly" tried in military courts and have been subjected to torture and harsh treatment. The source described the disobiedance as "a minor unrest."

It was reported that the inmates set the facility on fire and tried to escape, while others were concurrently protesting outside. However, unnamed sources soon denied the allegations.

High profile military officials visited the Hike Step Prison in the wake of the reported riots to make sure it has been secured.
