Core Terminal delivers the foundational product of Bloomberg: our "terminal" desktop. The Bloomberg Professional® terminal serves more than 300,000 paid subscribers and generates the majority of company revenue.

In addition, the Bloomberg Professional® terminal currently offers thousands of different functions. Through the terminal, Bloomberg has become the most trusted source of financial and business information worldwide.

Putting it into practice, if you’re Core Product Manager for equities, your responsibility is making sure that equities functionality receives maximum traffic. In addition, you’re developing equity products and tracking Bloomberg sales attributed to equities.

Core Product is considered by many to be the pinnacle of Financial Products—primarily because Product Managers brainstorm, build and lead the actual solutions that clients use to move markets. Product Managers receive untold client and company exposure.

Our global team of 550+ delivers data, analysis and customer service worldwide—at broad and local market levels. Through Trading Solutions, clients leverage insights to make better trading decisions, responding to market changes and innovations and lowering the total cost of ownership.

Trading Solutions encompasses all of Bloomberg’s legendary Order Management Systems (OMS)—value-added businesses that not only built Bloomberg but also continue to be major sales drivers. For example, our TOMS (Trade Order Management System) product is not only the longest-standing Bloomberg product, it also continues to be groundbreaking. A recent start-up, Enterprise takes Bloomberg into the managed services arena. We harness newly tested and proven Bloomberg technologies to actively distribute and manage information. These solutions include storage, security, entitlement, hosting and more. For clients, Enterprise frees up critical resources currently utilized to manage technology in-house. This, in turn, lowers the cost of doing business.

Enterprise solutions are custom-designed and always backed by Bloomberg support. We offer no off-the-shelf products. Every solution must deploy in a unique environment, which requires consultation and strategic thought. No two Enterprise initiatives are the same.
