Black Theama is an Egyptian band formed by Amir Salah, vocalist, in 2004. The band's line-up includes oriental percussions, oud and guitars.

On their website, Black Theama states that the band "is trying to search for a relation between the music of the dark skinned in the world," mixing the concepts together to reach their musical goals. "The band fuses reggae, jazz, blues, hip hop and Egyptian folkloric musical elements."

Black Theama have performed on a variety of stages in Egypt gaining an increasing popularity among young Egyptian audiences. Today their Facebook fan page has over 170,000 followers.

Black Theama's upcoming concert will be held at El Sawy Culturewheel, Zamalek, on Friday 2 September at 5pm.
