Storm Roke heads for Japan
BBC weather presenter Nina Ridge gives the latest forecast for Tropical Storm Roke which is on course to reach Japan by mid-week.
At least six million people have been affected in Pakistan's latest flood with half a million having lost everything. Rescue efforts are under way across isolated Himalayan regions in India, Nepal and Tibet after an earthquake struck the area. Parts of England are still officially considered to be experiencing a drought, despite the wet summer, the Environment Agency says. Peter Gibbs explains how the late retreat of the monsoon has exacerbated the flooding in Pakistan.
