Job Description:

division within a South Africa-based multinational media company
(with principal operations in electronic media (incl
pay-television, internet and instant-messaging subscriber platforms
and related technologies) and print media (incl. the publishing,
distribution and printing of magazines, newspapers and books, and
private education services).
We are looking for someone who has Managed a Development Team
for a few years! With proven results in driving change
successfully through a team and has experience of Agile development
practices.
Outputs are:
- An understanding, and implementation experience of, best
practices such as continuous integration, test-driven
development
- Provide mentorship and inspiration to teams
- Experience of working in a high-pressure environment, working
to broadcast deadlines
- Knowledge of ITIL Foundation
- A quality-oriented approach to software development
- A solid understanding of Web-based technologies
- Relevant technical background, ideally from a software
development environment
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities
- Continuous improvement in the software development process

The position is based in Randburg, Johannesburg – salary
range is R700,000+ per annum
