The eye-rolling, foot-stomping Maori challenge, entitled "Ka Mate", has been performed before Test matches by the All Blacks since 1905, becoming an integral part of the international rugby landscape.

"Did he? Too much haka! What can you say to that," said an incredulous Andy Ellis before passing over to Corey Flynn, who is part-Maori.

"I don't think anyone really listens to what Peter de Villiers says so I think we're all pretty safe there," said Flynn.

De Villiers said New Zealanders risked over-exposing the haka as they host this year's Rugby World Cup, diminishing its significance.
