euronews is celebrating the spirit of innovation in Europe with a new series of fast-paced three minute reports.

Innovation showcases some of the most exciting products developed by European researchers, scientists and entrepreneurs. The reports cover everything from a new form of energy-saving light to heart valves grown in the laboratory, from underwater sails to a remote-controlled robot firefighter.

Innovation is made in cooperation with the European Commission's DG Research and Innovation.

The programme coincides with the launch of the EU’s Innovation Union Flagship Initiative
