Supporting MERIP

The Middle East Research and Information Project (MERIP) is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 1971 to provide alternative, critical reporting and analysis on contemporary Middle East affairs and US policy toward the region. MERIP pursues its educational mission through the award-winning quarterly magazine Middle East Report and the web magazine Middle East Report Online, as well as occasional special publications and proactive outreach to the mainstream media.

MERIP can afford to be critical because it is independent. No big advertising accounts to lose. No ties to any government, corporation or special interest.

MERIP is sustained financially by income from subscriptions to Middle East Report, small grants and donations from readers and supporters.
