Dr. Kalan is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Surgical Endoscopy at Georgetown University Hospital. After receiving his medical degree from India, Dr. Kalan trained in General and Colorectal Surgery in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of London and Edinburgh. Dr. Kalan then completed an additional residency in General Surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and a Fellowship in advanced minimal access surgery at the George Washington University. He is a member of several prestigious professional bodies and chairs the Clinical Case Review Committee at Georgetown University Hospital. His areas of interest include all Advanced Abdominal Minimal Access Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Endocrine Surgery.
