Bloomberg Government Beginning

In 2010, Bloomberg Government launched with a beta version of the product; the move was unprecedented for a web solution but very much in the "change the game" personality of Bloomberg.

To build buzz prior to launch, Bloomberg Government performed extensive research throughout the government information market and found customers underserved. These customers wanted a comprehensive offering, combining dozens of sources into one.

When Bloomberg Government beta-launched, Capitol Hill offices signed on quickly. Clients were immediately tracking legislative action, regulatory action, industry news and directories. The full product launched on January 4, 2011, and it’s already having an impact.
