State-owned Libya Telecom and Technology (LTT) company on January 31 luanched its new service LibyaPhone Mobile.

This service will cover 100,000 subscriber all across the country, supporting communication with all the other networks such as mobile and fixed line locally, as well as internationally, providing complete voice calling service.

LTT signed a contract to establish this service in 2009.

Libyaphone mobile emerges as a third mobile operator in the market to provide, according to LTT, a complete solution in Libya, using the local area code of 095.

According to Mourad A. Blal, Head Of Advertising Dept. at LTT, this service aims to provide both 2G and 3G networks services such as, voice and video calling, short and multimedia messaging, voice mail and High speed mobile internet service. Devices with limited capacity are supported as well. With this service mobile SIM can store 1000 numbers.

To ensure users benefit from these services, an over the air system has been put into place to provide automatic setup of internet and multimedia messaging services for mobile devices, which supports a wide range of commonly used mobile devices.

Libya Telecom and Technology customers can use the already available methods of staying informed about their subscription through either the company website or by contacting the Customer Self-Care or Customer Care through the mobile itself.

Customers can still use the same prepaid voucher cards they are using before to recharge their internet service balance, for their mobile service, Blal said.

The Libya Telecom and Technology founded the operator Libyana for Mobile Phone, which launched its service in 2004, later becoming the most widespread mobile phone network in Libya.
