Population: Call for Proposals
Boys line up for morning exercises outside a secondary school in Sana'a, Yemen's capital. About half the population of Yemen is under the age of 15, according to the UN Development Program. (Photograph by Paul Stephens)
The Pulitzer Center is seeking proposals for projects on under-reported population issues.
These travel grants will be for the production of cross-platform reporting projects to be placed in major newspapers, magazines, websites, radio, and/or TV programs.
Interested journalists should submit proposals to the Pulitzer Center as soon as possible at travelgrants[AT]pulitzercenter.org with the subject 'Population: title of proposed project'. Questions should also be directed to this address with the subject 'Population'. Please review the general guidelines for travel grant applications and how to apply.
The Pulitzer Center has already launched the following projects: Dhaka's Challenge: A Megacity Struggles with Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, North Africa: The Young and the Restless, and Delhi's Dilemma: Rising Numbers, Limited Water.
