  4. I didn't realize my route was the end of the Breast Cancer 3 day here. Can I just say, those women (and men) looked amazing!

  12. @dumilewis Being silly, but yes I can see one would be concerned if there seemed to be more lobbying than substance involved.

  14. @dumilewis I'm pretty torn on the subject quite honestly. I can see both sides.
  15. @dumilewis For honorary drs. each institution has their own set of standards, etc. for awarding. But again, just playing devil's advocate.
  16. @dumilewis For instance some comps are sit and spit exams. Others are take home 4 weeks. Some are 8 weeks. Some 16-20.
  17. @dumilewis Some aspects are standardized (comps, dissertation), but lots of differences in requirements for those things.
  18. @dumilewis At our university there's even variance by department within COE regarding tasks, etc.
  19. @dumilewis Those agreed upon standards and tasks still vary by institution. It's not standardized - at least not in education.
