David Tweed

David Tweed

David Tweed is the European economics editor for Bloomberg Television. He is based in London.

Since joining Bloomberg Television in 2009, Tweed has interviewed numerous political and business newsmakers including European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet, Thai Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij, former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, Greek Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou and former Bank of England policymakers DeAnne Julius, Charles Goodhart and David Blanchflower. Tweed has also interviewed Nobel Prize-winning economists Joseph Stiglitz and Robert Mundell.

Tweed first joined Bloomberg News in 1997 as a print reporter covering the stock market in Paris and later served in various roles as a financial, economic and business editor for Bloomberg News in London, Sydney and Tokyo. Earlier in his career, Tweed was a reporter for Dow Jones Newswires. He also reported for The Australian and The Herald newspapers.

Tweed holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
