Rishaad Salamat

Rishaad Salamat is a Hong Kong-based anchor for Bloomberg Television. Salamat hosts “On the Move Asia,” a weekday business program offering in-depth coverage of market openings in Asia as well as global political, business and economic news. He also co-hosts "Asia Edge," an hour-long program that presents extended interviews with newsmakers and covers the top news and market-moving data from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Salamat is one of the longest-serving hosts on Bloomberg Television, having joined Bloomberg Television's London bureau in 1997. Throughout his career at Bloomberg, Salamat has interviewed numerous business, economic and political leaders including Barclays CEO Bob Diamond, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Aviva CEO Andrew Moss, Thailand's Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij and Bill English, Minister of Finance for New Zealand.

Salamat has also covered major international events for Bloomberg Television, including the World Economic Forum, the Geneva Auto Show, and chaired panels with former U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz.
