Ryan Chilcote

Ryan Chilcote is a London-based reporter for Bloomberg Television. He reports on companies, commodities, economics and politics throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa and has reported from more than two dozen countries since joining Bloomberg.

Chilcote has interviewed a number of the world's top political and business leaders, including conducting the first international television interview with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev after the terror attacks in Moscow's airport in January 2011. Chilcote has also interviewed the ECB's Bini Smaghi, Deutsche Bank CEO Josef Ackermann, former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chrysler and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne and Greek Finance Minister George Papaconstantinou, among others.

In addition to reporting on Russia, energy and the car-making industry, Chilcote has presented special programs for Bloomberg Television, including "Rogue Trader," a special on Jerome Kerviel, the former Société Générale trader convicted of unauthorized trading and "Basketball Billionaire: From Russia With Cash," featuring an exclusive interview with Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov discussing his acquisition of the NBA's New Jersey Nets.

Prior to joining Bloomberg Television in 2007, Chilcote was an international correspondent at CNN, covering Russia, the former Soviet Union and the Middle East. Chilcote has received several awards for his work, including a New York Film Festival World Medal, a Clarion Award, a Golden Pen, a nomination at the Prix Bayeux Competition for War Correspondents, and an Emmy nomination for Best Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast.

Chilcote graduated from the University of California and has studied at Moscow State University and Yaroslavl State University.
