Indian Monsoon withdrawal delayed
Across India the onset of the southwesterly monsoon is eagerly anticipated every year, bringing much needed rainfall and relief from temperatures which can hit the mid-forties Celsius in the weeks before.
This year saw the rains make their way across the entire country with speed, arriving into the northwest ahead of schedule.
Their withdrawal was delayed by over three weeks. Here Susan Powell takes a look at the forecast for the next few days.
